Tom Cochrane – first saw him in 1978 at a sound check while Red Rider was opening for April Wine. My friend and I snuck in – Tom was on the pedal steel guitar and the sound in the cavernous wooden Sydney Forum was amazing. Have not heard anything as bone chilling since.
Tom is under valued as a lyricist and his “Sinking Like a Sunset” is as good a summary of marriage as one would ever hope.
